Natural Theatre has produced a string of successful small and medium scale
stage shows, mostly about dead composers.
Did you know that Bach, Handel and Scarlatti were all born in the same year? The Naturals took that simple fact and wove a hilarious tale of musical rivalry and competition that allowed their brilliant actor-musicians a licence to captivate audiences with virtuoso playing, language-crossing jokes, and of course gorgeous wigs!
This format has now produced four successful musicals, Scarlatti’s Birthday Party, Scarlatti’s Wedding, Scarlatti’s Revenge and the most recent, Scarlatti In Paradise.
Our
shows on stage are colourful, accessible, surreal and highly comical. Above
all, they feature superb live music, often played by virtuoso classical
musicians. Astonishingly quick costume changes, clever kinetic props, witty
lyrics and a perfect sense of occasion combine with stunning musicality
to make the Naturals' stage shows uniquely entertaining collectors' items.
