Street theatre

Nobody can animate a street like Natural Theatre. With over 40 years experience in town centres worldwide, their visual and verbal scenarios can stop shoppers in their tracks, bring traffic to a halt and generally set chins a-wagging.

Whether it is the elegance of the Flowerpot People, who were once described as 'poetry in the city' or the broader humour of the Shopaholic Housewives, the Natural Theatre characters are always immaculately presented and highly interactive. In the National No Smiling Day, the audience do all the work, contributing endless wisecracks as they gather round the silent protestors. In contrast, the Pink Suitcases can take over a whole set of streets as they encourage passers by to join in the search for their companions.

As someone was heard to say 'Our High Street will never seem the same again!'

Natural Theatre teams have astonished shoppers from Bogota to Bognor, from Islington to Islamabad and are world leaders in the art of street theatre.

All we need is a secure dressing room close to the action and after that all the world is a stage.

Suggested scenarios: The Pigeon Poo People...are they bird-like people or people-like birds? The Pink Suitcases...in and out of taxis, out of windows and onto buses! High Street Bowling...white-clad bowls players sticking strictly to the rules but with an invisible ball. The Coneheads... alien tourists with slightly wrong information about Earth, using dog biscuits for currency and fascinated by long hair, babies and bicycles. The Nannies... determined to go walkies, with their starched aprons and old fashioned prams; Wet Wipes at the ready, they are always available for bottom-powdering, mass hugs and tickling.
